Might be the best commercial ever.
Tonight I feel a bit sentimental. I dug out an essay from high school and a poem from 6th grade. I looked through some old drawings and the remnants of bold and naive endeavors, like that one time, when we almost wrote that book… :)
So, while still on that wave - I suddenly remembered this ad. I remember first seeing it on MTV, sometime in the 90’s. It was great! Both inspiring and so close to heart - like a confession.
Here it is the Sony Playstation Ad “Double Life”:
For years, I’ve lived a double life.
In the day, I do my job - I ride the bus, roll up my sleeves with the hoi-polloi.
I live a life of exhilaration, of missed heartbeats and adrenalin.
And, if the truth be known,
a life of dubious virtue.
I won’t deny it - I’ve been engaged in violence, even indulged in it.
I’ve maimed and killed adversaries, and not merely in self-defence.
I’ve exhibited disregard for life, limb and property,
and savoured every moment.

Since most of us only know each other from our posts, there is no doubt we imagine each other incorrectly. The most surprising thread was the sticky where we post our photos. Danjama was my biggest surprise. Veryhappy
So, in an effort to get to know each other a little better I had the idea to make a thread where as we get to show a little of our true characters.
Let’s describe how we would imagine ourselves to be if there was a big IL-2 GD meet completely paid for, including airfare, by Oleg

A big group of people is sitting around a low table - some on sofas, most on the ground. Some hold beer bottles, others hold vodka bottles, some hold coca-cola cans and heavy coughing is heard from the locked bathroom. There is a nice fireplace, and the walls are decorated with wooden props, rusty guns, and black and white pictures in frames.
October 26th, 2006, at 10:48 - @367 #Several heated discussions go on and everyone waves their palms in the air, making circling gestures, one palm following the other. The words “bang”, “overmodelled”, “tsstakatakatakataka” and “you is wrong” are repeatedly heard over the table. A passer-by looking through the window wonders - what the hell brought this ragged band of teens, middle aged folks, punks and accountants together?
Then suddenly a part of the roof and one of the walls dissapear in a big explosion of dust and flying bricks. When the smoke clears, a fw190A4 fuselage is sitting in the middle of the room, with a bent prop, smoke comming out of the exhaust stacks, and stubs where the wings used to be before being ripped off.
